Weekly Creative Writing Classes
Each session follows a theme, exploring different aspects of storytelling. Whether you hanker to write a novel, work on a memoir or are simply in search of inspiration, you will benefit from my support as a writing coach.
Workshops include exercises to stimulate creativity, thought-provoking discussions of short extracts by published authors, and opportunities to read your own work - although this is definitely not compulsory! You might have a work in progress and are now "stuck", or have written previously and need a fresh start, or you may just want to experiment with creative ideas and see if writing is for you.
Examples of topics covered:
Are your characters interesting enough to engage the reader?
Whose story is it? How do I choose a point of view?
How do I write realistic dialogue?
How do I edit my own work?
Fiction, non-fiction, creative non-fiction? How do I choose?
How do I stay motivated?
